That’s a long time to avoid tapping on the event and a long time to receive event items you don’t want or need. The current event is running 18 days (and I’ve noticed that I don’t see as many of my co-op members playing the game currently). I do like that they tell you on screen how long the events run. They are fun if you want to play, but if you find you don’t want to play the special event or you accidentally tap and join - too bad so sad - you’re stuck receiving the event items as gifts until the end of the event. I love this game and honestly spend WAY too much time playing, but many of my co-op members and I wish that the developer would build in the option to OPT OUT of the special events.
